The intensity of the Asia Production 250cc category at Round 3 of the IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, hosted at Mobility Resort Motegi, Japan increased with Herjun Atna Firdaus of ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM appeared fastest in the Practice Sessions that concluded today.
In Practice 1, Muhammad Faerozi Toreqottullah of YAMAHA Racing Indonesia secured the top spot with the fastest lap time of 2’08:946s. After Faerozi was Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa of ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM at 2’09:046s. Ryota Ogiwara of SANWA RCING TEAM made it third at 2’09:299s.
Practice 2 watched Kiandra clocked better lap time of 2’08:905s to claim top spot, followed by Ryuji Yokoe of Team TEC2 & MOTOTEC‐R4 & YSS at 2’09:316s. Arai Agaska Dibani Laksana of YAMAHA Racing Indonesia placed third at 2’09:622s.]
In Practice 3, Herjun Atna Firdaus of ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM clocked remarkable lap time of 2’08:159s to claimed the top spot. Traild closely behind Herjun was Arai at 2’08:213s followed by Kiandra at 2’08:232s.
The combined results from the practice sessions showed Herjun emerging as the fastest overall while Arai and Kiandra trailed behind setting the stage for the battle for pole position in tomorrow’s Qualifying session.
Herjun said, “Today was very good, we are in the good direction right now interms of settings, even though we struggled a little bit in FP1 & FP2 due the RPM Rev Cut, but I’m glad that we improved step by step.”
Herjun added, “Other riders were quite close in the lap time,so I think tomorrow and Sunday’s races will be an intense.”
