Astra Honda Racing Team is gearing up for another exciting season in the IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), ready to make a mark with a fresh lineup and a determined spirit. Known for its consistent performance, the team is poised to deliver strong results with a mix of experienced riders and emerging talent. The 2025 season promises new challenges and opportunities, and Astra Honda Racing Team is prepared to take them on headfirst.
Rizky Christianto, Senior Manager of Astra Honda Racing Team, is enthusiastic about the team’s prospects for the upcoming season. He shared his insights into the team’s lineup and their expectations as they head into the new season.
“We are very excited about this year’s lineup,” said Rizky. “Our team is a balanced mix of experienced riders and fresh, young talent. Even though we have a new rider from the Astra Honda Racing School, Davino Britani, in AP250 category, we believe that he will quickly adapt and bring great potential to the team. With the experience we have within the team, we hope all of our riders will enjoy the ARRC this season. This is important because we want them to perform at their best while also developing as riders. We believe this combination will bring positive results for the Astra Honda Racing Team.”
When asked about the return of Andi Farid Izdihar to the team in ASB1000, Rizky expressed confidence in his ability to lead the team in this competitive category. “Andi is a highly experienced and competitive rider, and we are thrilled to have him back with us. He was very competitive last year, and his vast experience in the ASB1000 class is invaluable. That said, we must acknowledge that we are a new team in the ASB1000 category, and we don’t yet know exactly what to expect at the start. This season will be a learning phase, and we have to manage the challenges of being a new team, but we are confident that Andi’s skillset will guide us through these early stages. Our expectation is to remain competitive and fight with the top teams in the ASB1000 class as the season progresses. We are focused on a consistent, well-paced approach that will bring us closer to the podium.”
As for Herjun joining the SS600 class, Rizky expressed high hopes for the young rider’s development. “Herjun is one of our most promising riders. At just 20 years old, he already has a lot of experience under his belt. Joining the SS600 class this season is a big step for him, but we have complete confidence in his abilities. We’ve told Herjun that the key is to enjoy the process of adapting to the CBR600RR and focus on improving every round. Competing against top riders in SS600 will be a great challenge for him, but I believe he has the right mindset to tackle it. His progression will be critical not only for his development but for the team’s future. We expect him to gain valuable experience and continue improving with each race.”
The 2025 season also sees the introduction of two new faces to the team, Fadillah Arbi Aditama and Davino Britani. Rizky is excited about their potential and shared his thoughts on what fans can expect from them. “We have two exciting new riders this season – Arbi and Davino. Both are talented, and we’re eager to see how they perform. As you know, with the new regulations, it’s a tough challenge for the CBR250RR to compete against bikes like the 321cc machines, but we are hopeful. Arbi, with his determination and fresh perspective, has the potential to make a strong impression, while Davino, coming from the Astra Honda Racing School, brings a new wave of enthusiasm to the team. We hope they will not only contribute to our performance but also help elevate the overall team dynamic. Our focus for them is to have solid races, learn from every event, and bring back valuable feedback to improve our strategies and setups. We believe that with their commitment, they will play an important role in the ARRC AP250 class this year.”
The Astra Honda Racing Team is ready to take on the challenges of the new season, with a clear focus on both performance and rider development. With an exciting blend of experienced riders and fresh talent, they aim to push their limits and compete at the highest level.
