BIG DREAMS DRIVE SUCCESS

Striking in their appearance and bold with their moves, the riders of the SuperSports 600cc get better in each round as they pose a strike to be the epitome of excellence. Md Adenanta Putra of ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM has come a long way this season and is all geared up for the challenge of Round 4, Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship taking place on his home soil at PERTAMINA Mandalika International Circuit scheduled for this weekend.

Adenanta graduated into the SS600 race category last season and like any other riders, the year went by swiftly with him patiently and confidently learning the ropes and grooming himself for the new season. It looks like he did a great job, adopting and adapting new techniques and riding style while managing a machine of a higher capacity. This year, he marched right into the duties and responsibilities of a team player and not only did he fulfil the key performance indicators but also excelled brilliantly with flying colours.

One would say it is the right pressure and persistence from the team itself but again, it is also the rider’s attributes and positive mindset that speak volumes of the achievements. Adenanta was seen making bold moves alongside the big guns of the race category and while he may not have taken a win just yet, he has over six races revealed an ability to maintain consistency, the much-needed credentials to make it big. He now sits at second spot on the podium and considering the upcoming race which is an easy target for the Indonesian, he may just be in for a lucky treat.

Commenting on the race, Adenanta said, “This season has been a great year for me. I have improved quite well and I feel much better now, more confident with the strides. I also understand the machine and mechanism of the SuperSports especially in fighting and making my moves at the corners. This year, the team and I have been working really hard so that we would stand a chance for better results and keeping my fingers cross, a chance at the top three positions. Of course, the engine performance has also been established well and is able to fight competitively with the opponents. We are able to get a consistent lap time and that is quite an achievement for us.”

“The aim is to maintain the momentum. Currently, I work on my physique to enhance my fitness level. Mental strength is also equally important as it goes hand-in-hand with the physical aspects. For the upcoming race in Mandalika, I am very excited. It is my home-ground for one and I enjoy riding on the circuit ground because of its high-speed corners. I will do my best as I have been trying throughout this season. There is no particular mantra that I practice but I think having the perseverance and the desire to succeed as an accomplished rider is one that keeps me going and pushing me beyond boundaries. My long-term goal is to be seen and to make an impact on the global front.”
