FAHMI TRIUMPH AT CHANG

The Round 1 IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship ignited with excitement as Race 1 of the Underbone 150cc category unfolded at Chang International Circuit. Amidst the thunderous roar of engines and intense competition, Fahmi Basam of Yamaha LFN HP969 Indonesia Racing Team emerged victorious, claiming the top spot on the podium in a spectacular display of skill and determination.
 
Earlier this morning in the Super-Pole session, Fahmi finished third when he clocked in at 2:02.890s. He took grid 3 while Adytya Fauzi from RACETECH SIXTY Racing Team took the pole position with his best time at 2:02.402s followed by Putra Mohd Fadhill at 2:02.441s on the second grid.
 
As Race 1 started, Farres took lead and set the stage for a thrilling race. Seconds into the race, the positions exchanged rapidly, keeping spectators at the edge of their seats. In a captivating turn of events, April King Mascarado surged to the front on the second lap, showcasing remarkable pace and precision. However, the competition remained fierce, with each lap seeing a different rider leading the pack.
 
Meanwhile, 2023 Overall Champion, Nazirul Izzat Md Bahauddin from UMA Racing YAMAHA Maju Motor Asia Team steadily ascended through the ranks, securing third position amidst the intense battle on the track. With three laps remaining, Fahmi Basam demonstrated his prowess, racing to the front spot and fending off pressure from Adytya Fauzi from RACETECH SIXTY Racing Team. He maintained his pace and kept steady before pushing through the finish line, clocking in at 16:26.211s.

Wahyu Aji Trilaksana from Racetech Sixty Racing Team and April King Mascarado from UMA Racing MMR Yamaha Philippines executed impressive maneuvers, surging from P14 and P15 hustled through a row of riders to secure the top three position at 16:26.533s and 16:26.593s, respectively.
