Race 1 of the TVS Asia One Make Championship in Round 3 of the IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship at Mobility Resort Motegi, Japan, took place today, with Japanese rider Hiroki Ono celebrating his win.
When the race began, Zen Mitani from Japan immediately seized the lead, with Hiroki Ono closely trailing behind, followed by Mohd Ramdan Rosli from Malaysia at P3.
The top three riders formed a front group, distancing themselves from the rest of the pack.
As the race progressed into lap 5, Hiroki made his way to overtake Zen at P1, while Ramdan maintained his position at P3.
Zen followed Hiroki closely, attempting to fight for P1, but the winner of both Round 1 and 2 denied the attempt and crossed the finish line in first position at 16’47:293s, claiming his fourth win of the season.
Hiroki said, “Facing off against Zen Mitani was really tough; he was lightning-fast! But battling it out with him was a thrill from start to finish. And the victory is mine! Winning this one has got me feeling on top of the world. I couldn’t be happier!”
Second place went to Zen, who concluded the race at 16’47:398s, while Ramdan finished with a time of 16’47:985s, placing him in third on the podium.
