GUPITA TOP IN RACE 1

The Race 1 in Round 3 IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship at Mobility Resort Motegi, Japan, witnessed an intense battle in the Underbone 150cc category, with Gupita Kresna Wardhna of 4S1M Evo YAMAHA Racing Team celebrating his first victory in 2024.

During the Super Pole session, Adytya Fauzi of RACETECH SIXTY Racing Team claimed pole position with the fastest lap time of 2’17:437s, closely followed by Fahmi Basam of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA Racing Team at 2’18:755s and Dimas Juli Atmoko of One For All at 2’19:115s.

As the race commenced, Fahmi Basam of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA Racing Team led the charge, closely pursued by Adytya Fauzi of RACETECH SIXTY Racing Team and Md Syafiq Rosli of UMA Racing YAMAHA Maju Motor Asia Team.

On lap 3, Adytya made his way to lead the pack, but the race only intensified with riders behind him rapidly changing, battling for the top spot.

Throughout the race, Adytya maintained his position at P1, while Gupita, who started at grid 13, slowly made his way up to P5.

The race took a dramatic turn when Adytya’s teammate, Wahyu, crashed on the last lap, but Adytya stayed focused and clinched victory in a thrilling finish at 18’32:587s.

Gupita said, “It was quite challenging from the start as I was facing some problems with my machine. But I’m thankful for my team for their hard work to fix and make a lot of improvements. And I am truly happy to get my first victory. Thank you to my team, family, fans, and friends who supported me.”

Nazirul Izzat Md Bahauddin of UMA Racing YAMAHA Maju Motor Asia Team secured second place at 18’32:796s, and Ahmad Fazrul Sham of CARDINALS FACTORY RACING TEAM ARRC placed third at 18’32:873s.
