HUSNI STOOD TALL IN BURIRAM

Race 2 of the UB150 category at Round 2 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 delivered another closely contested race at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand, with Husni Zainul Fuadzy of ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34 emerging victorious. At the start, April King Mascardo of RACETECH YAMAHA PHILIPPINES RACING TEAM made a strong launch to take the early lead, followed by Nazirul Izzat Muhammad Bahauddin of UMA RACING YAMAHA MAJU MOTOR TEAM. However, the field quickly formed into the usual UB150 front pack, with positions changing continuously through the opening laps. By Lap 2, Husni had joined the battle at the front alongside April, Ahmad Darwisy Ahmad Sahir, Shahrol Syazras Shahrol Yuzy and Muhammad Adib Arsyad Mohd Hisam. Lap 3 saw Adib briefly move into the lead while Indonesia’s Dimas Juli Atmoko of HJS YOUNGSTAR KAWAHARA RCTH SIXTY also entered the fight at the front. On Lap 4, Fadli Rigani of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA RACING TEAM moved into contention after setting the fastest lap of the race at 2’02.357s and taking over the lead. However, his challenge ended on Lap 6 after suffering an engine problem while leading the race. At the front, the battle remained tight between Husni, Nazirul, Adytya Fauzi, Syazras and Rendi Odding, with no rider able to create a gap heading into the closing laps. Drama unfolded again on the final lap when Kiki Sudarman Manurung of JPNW SND FACTORY RACING crashed, while Nazirul and John Emerson Inguito of 4S1M EVO YAMAHA Racing Team SNIPER 150 also crashed at the final corner during the fight for podium positions. Husni stayed consistent throughout the race and crossed the finish line first in 16’37.890s to secure victory. Dimas initially finished second on the road, but a post-race penalty for exceeding track limits at Turn 12 dropped him to fourth place. As a result, Darwisy was promoted to second with a finishing time of 16’38.280s, while Adytya completed the podium in third at 16’38.301s. Husni said, “First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude, Alhamdulillah for today’s result. A huge thank you as well to the team for all their hard work throughout this week, and to everyone who kept me in their prayers and continued supporting me. It truly means a lot to me. The race was incredibly exciting and challenging because, at Turn 3, there was a bit of rain, while the rest of the circuit remained dry. The mixed conditions made it very tricky and demanded extra focus from all of us. After the mistake I made in Race 1, I reminded myself to stay calm and learn from that experience instead of letting it affect my confidence. Even in the final lap, I focused on staying composed and making the right decisions. Alhamdulillah, the lesson from Race 1 helped me approach Race 2 with a better mindset, and thankfully everything worked out in the end. I’m truly grateful for today’s blessing and result. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me. This means a lot.” TOP 5 FASTEST – RACE 2 1. HUSNI ZAINUL FUADZY – ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34 (16’37.890s) 2. FADLI STUNNED UB150 FIELD

Round 2 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 happened today at Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand, as the UB150 category delivered one of the most breathtaking races of the season. In a contest defined by relentless lead changes, Fadli Rigani of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA RACING TEAM emerged victorious from absolute chaos to claim a sensational Race 1 triumph. After storming to Superpole with a stunning lap of 2’03.172s, Husni Zainul Fuadzy of ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34 looked poised to dominate on Saturday. Husni launched brilliantly from pole position, surging into the lead at lights out ahead of Nazirul Izzat Muhammad Bahauddin of UMA RACING YAMAHA MAJU MOTOR TEAM. Within seconds, the tightly packed UB150 field turned into a battleground, with riders diving into corners and swapping positions almost every lap. Slipstream battles intensified down Chang International Circuit’s long straights as no rider could create even the slightest breathing room. By Lap 2, Husni had reclaimed the lead, but the pressure was mounting. Teammate Gupita Kresna Wardhana fired in the fastest lap of the race at that point with a blistering 2’03.914s, while Nazirul muscled his way back into contention to ensure the front group remained fiercely competitive. The complexion of the race shifted again on Lap 3, as John Emerson Inguito of 4S1M EVO YAMAHA Racing Team stormed to the front, followed closely by Adytya Fauzi of JPNW SND FACTORY RACING, Husni, Rendi Odding and Shahrol Syazras Shahrol Yuzy of YUZY ASIA TEAM. One lap later, Adytya seized control, only for Ahmad Darwisy Ahmad Sahir of YUZY ASIA TEAM to answer with a scorching fastest lap of 2’03.072s as yet another challenger joined the ever-growing lead pack. The unpredictability continued into Lap 5 as Dimas Juli Atmoko of HJS YOUNGSTAR KAWAHARA RCTH SIXTY briefly rose to the front, proving once again that no position was safe in a race where fortunes changed corner by corner. As the field thundered onto the final lap, Husni, Rendi, Shahrol Syazras, Gupita and M. Syirat Sauki of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA RACING TEAM remained locked in a fierce battle. Yet all eyes were on Nazirul, who appeared perfectly positioned for victory as he charged toward the final corner at the front. In a cruel twist of fate, Nazirul crashed at the decisive moment, opening the door for a dramatic last-gasp victory. Keeping his composure amidst the chaos, Fadli surged through to snatch victory in 16’40.642s, edging out Wahyu Aji Trilaksana of HJS YOUNGSTAR KAWAHARA RCTH SIXTY by just 0.137s. Husni, despite leading much of the race, settled for third place, just 0.169s adrift of the winner. Rendi finished fourth, while Gupita completed the top five in a race where mere fractions separated triumph from heartbreak. Fadli said, “Alhamdulillah, I’m truly grateful for today’s race and the result we achieved. From the opening laps, my main focus was to carefully manage the bike’s temperature while maintaining a strong position at the front of the group. I knew it was important to stay patient, avoid pushing too hard too early, and control the race rhythm as best as possible. As the race progressed, I began to feel more confident and understood the right moment to increase the pace. In the final laps, I gave everything I had and pushed harder to make my move. Thankfully, all the strategy, patience, and hard work paid off, and I was able to take the win. It’s a really special feeling, and I’m very happy with today’s result. A big thank you to the team and everyone who supported me throughout this race.” TOP 5 FASTEST – RACE 1 1. FADLI RIGANI – YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA RACING TEAM (16’40.642s) 2. HUSNI LED TIGHT FIGHT

The UB150 category roared to life at Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand as the opening day of Round 2 in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 delivered a fiercely contested combined practice session, with reigning champion Husni Zainul Fuadzy of ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34 once again stamping his authority on the field. Husni carried the momentum from his strong start to the season into Chang International Circuit by setting the fastest overall time of 2’00.929s during Practice 1. The Indonesian rider laid down the benchmark on Lap 6 out of seven laps, reaching a top speed of 164.10 km/h. Already leading the championship standings after his victory in Race 2 during the opening round at Sepang International Circuit, Husni’s early pace in Buriram immediately sent a strong message to the rest of the UB150 field. However, the fight at the front is proving tighter than ever. Malaysia’s Muhammad Adib Arsyad Mohd Hisam of UMA RACING YAMAHA MAJU MOTOR TEAM emerged as Husni’s closest challenger after topping Practice 2 with a blistering 2’01.045s. More impressively, Adib also recorded the highest top speed of the day at 173.9 km/h, underlining the growing threat from the Malaysian squad heading into qualifying and race day. His teammate, Nazirul Izzat Muhammad Bahauddin, maintained strong consistency across both sessions to secure third overall with a best lap of 2’01.272s, while Indonesia’s Dimas Juli Atmoko from HJS YOUNGSTAR KAWAHARA RCTH SIXTY continued to show competitive form in fourth overall after consistently running inside the top group throughout the day. Completing the top five was Rendi Odding of 4S1M EVO YAMAHA Racing Team, whose late-session pace in Practice 1 secured him a combined best of 2’01.535s. The opening day also highlighted just how unpredictable the UB150 category could become this weekend, with lap times separated by fractions of a second and several riders demonstrating the ability to challenge for the front positions. Gupita Kresna Wardhana of ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34 and Wahyu Aji Trilaksana of HJS YOUNGSTAR KAWAHARA RCTH SIXTY also impressed during Practice 2, adding further depth to an increasingly competitive grid. Husni said, “Alhamdulillah, I showed a very positive performance in both FP1 and FP2 today. We are truly grateful because the results were quite encouraging and gave the team a much needed confidence boost heading into tomorrow. I worked extremely hard throughout the sessions, stayed focused, and managed to deliver strong pace consistently on track. Today’s performance is an important foundation for tomorrow’s qualifying session and the race. Of course, there is still work to do, but seeing the progress makes us very proud and hopeful. We sincerely pray that we can maintain this momentum, stay consistent under pressure, and continue fighting at the front until the race tomorrow. Hopefully, all the hard work from the team will pay off with another strong result.” TOP 5 FASTEST – COMBINED PRACTICE 1. HUSNI ZAINUL FUADZY – ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34 (2’00.929s) 2. CAN HUSNI STAY AHEAD?

Indonesian rider Husni Zainul Fuadzy has begun his 2026 campaign in the UB150 category of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship with the same authority that carried him to the 2025 overall championship title. Representing ZIEAR LFN HP969 ADELIN MCR RBT34, Husni enters Round 2 at Chang International Circuit as the current championship leader after a strong opening round at Sepang International Circuit, where he secured third place in Race 1 before bouncing back with a victory in Race 2 to collect 41 crucial points. Despite carrying the pressure of being the defending champion, Husni remains composed and focused, insisting that his mindset has not changed even with the target on his back. “Alhamdulillah, Round 1 was a very good result for me and the team. For me, there is no pressure. I will continue to fight until the final round to defend my championship. Every race is important, and I just want to stay consistent and keep pushing forward.” As the man to beat in UB150 this season, Husni acknowledges that defending the title is already proving to be a tougher challenge than winning it. “The biggest challenge right now is defending the championship. Everyone is pushing harder this year, so I know I cannot relax even for a moment.” The UB150 category has also seen increased intensity this season, with changes in regulations adding another layer of unpredictability to the competition. “The competition in UB150 this year is very tight. The regulation changes have quite a big impact on the bike, so every team has had to adapt. That makes the racing even closer and more challenging.” For Husni, nothing comes easy at the top level. That is the reality of defending a championship. “It is definitely very difficult to defend the title. But my team and I will continue to fight in every round. We are not here just to participate. We are here to defend the championship.” While results remain his priority, Husni continues to focus on refining himself as a rider, round by round. “In every race, I always learn something new and sharpen my instincts. That is how I keep improving, step by step, session by session, and round by round.” Heading into Round 2, Husni also credits his team for ensuring he arrives fully prepared for another demanding weekend. “My team has prepared everything very well for Round 2. Now it’s up to me to execute on track. Hopefully we can achieve another strong result this weekend.”

TIMOTHY, NEW FILIPINO HOPE?

YAMAHA PHILIPPINES RACETECH RACING TEAM’s rising talent, Timothy Jonathan KY Rojas, is gearing up for the biggest year of his young career as he prepares for his first full season in the IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship. Timothy steps into the highly competitive UB150 category, bringing with him the hunger, discipline, and determination of a rider ready to evolve. Timothy made his ARRC debut last year as a wildcard entry, showcasing strong potential in a field filled with experienced and aggressive riders. This season, he returns with a renewed purpose and a full-season opportunity to show what he can become. “For my first full season, I’m focusing on being consistent and learning something valuable every round. My main goal for 2026 is to improve race by race, keep building my pace, and fight for stronger finishes as the season progresses.” Strengthening Timothy’s development this year is his teammate, April King Mascardo, one of the Philippines’ most seasoned ARRC riders who has been competing since 2015. For a young rider stepping into Asia’s toughest underbone class, having a veteran on the same team makes a major difference. “Racing with someone like April King Mascardo helps me a lot. His experience gives me confidence. He shares insights about the bike, the race craft, and even how to stay calm under pressure. Having him around pushes me to prepare better and think like a complete rider.” Stepping into UB150 full-time also means stepping into a category known for its intense pack racing and strategic complexity. But instead of feeling overwhelmed, Timothy is using the challenge as fuel. “I handle pressure by staying focused on myself. Racing against experienced riders motivates me even more. Every lap with them teaches me something, and it pushes me to sharpen my skills and improve faster.” With only one ARRC round under his belt last year, Timothy is preparing for a season packed with unfamiliar circuits across Asia. But he is embracing the learning curve with full commitment. “I’ve been studying the tracks, improving my fitness, and preparing my mindset for every race weekend. I’m really excited about racing at Chang International Circuit. It’s fast, technical, and challenging, which makes it perfect for learning and improving.” In a category where margins are extremely tight, Timothy is clear about what helps him stand out: his mindset. “My strongest asset is my determination to improve. I may be one of the youngest and one of the newest on the grid, but I’m committed to learning quickly, staying competitive, and giving my best in every race.” Timothy carries the pride of the Filipino racing community, the support of a strong Yamaha squad, and the hunger of a rider with something to prove. ARRC 2026 will be his toughest test yet, but also his biggest opportunity.

Round 6 of the IDEMITSU FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025 delivered an action-packed Race 1 in the UB150 class at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand, with overall champion, Husni Zainul Fuadzy of ZIEAR LFN HP969 MCR RBT 34 claimed victory. From the race start, Malaysia’s Ahmad Afif Amran of Pitsbike Superfast JRT Racing Team rocketed to the front and controlled the early pace. However, as typical of the fiercely competitive UB150 class, positions behind him shuffled rapidly through the opening turns. By Lap 2, Muhammad Adib Arsyad Mohd Hisam of UMA RACING YAMAHA MAJU MOTOR ASIA seized the lead, forcing Afif momentarily down to ninth. But the Malaysian star quickly regrouped and stormed back to the front on Lap 3, rejoining the lead pack. The race intensified on Lap 5, when Indonesia’s Fahmi Basam of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA RACING TEAM clocked the fastest lap time 2’01.128s to latch onto the front group. Constant position exchanges among Afif, Fahmi, Dimas Juli Atmoko of RACETECH SIXTY Racing, Peerapong Luiboonpeng of ONE FOR ALL, and Wahyu Aji Trilaksana kept the race wide open. By Lap 7, Afif reclaimed the lead once again, though no rider managed to break away as the massive lead group remained tightly packed heading into the decisive final lap. As riders launched their last-lap attacks, the battle for victory remained completely unpredictable. Coming into the final turn, disaster struck as Masato fell on the inside line, triggering a chain reaction that caused Afif, Wahyu, Dimas, and Md Amirul Ariff Musa of MAEZTRO NWN SCK HONDA RACING TEAM to crash out, abruptly removing several podium contenders from the fight. The race concluded with Husni chequered flag for victory with a time of 16’26.211s. Fadli Rigani of YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA RACING TEAM secured second at 16’26.330s, while Adytya Fauzi of JPNW SND FACTORY RACING completed the podium in 16’26.850s. Husni said, “Alhamdulillah, Race 1 went smoothly. Today was truly my lucky day, and I’m grateful that on the last lap I managed to overtake all my competitors. Thank you to my team, my wife, and my family for all their support. And to my manager, this victory is my birthday gift for you!” TOP 5 FASTEST – RACE 1 1.
