WAHYU AJI CELEBRATES VICTORY IN RACE 1

Wahyu Aji Trilaksana of ONEXOX TKKR Racing Team bagged the winning spot in Race 1, Round 3 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship which was held in Sugo International Racing Course for the Underbone 150cc category.

The race category known for its complexity and the need for an unsurpassed technical expertise saw Wahyu Aji putting on a competitive fight in his bid to take victory. Wahyu took the 8 th spot on the grid but that never dragged him down as he picked up speed, lap by lap. While Wahyu struggled to get into the top five position in the first two laps, he made it at P5 in lap three.

Wahyu Aji fell to P6 in the fourth lap but the length of the circuit gave him enough time to make it back to the top five group in the following lap. By the sixth lap, Wahyu Aji has already marked his spot at P3. While he moved in and out of P3 in the next following laps, Wahyu made a striking move towards the last turn and took lead from P3.

With that, he bolted ahead and carved victory, clocking in at 18’05:412s.

Commenting on the race, Wahyu Aji said, “This was a fantastic race for me, being able to take a step up on the podium once again. Overall, the team and I had good communication and I was immersed in such superb positive energy from the beginning.”

“Throughout the race, I focused on myself and kept pushing ahead. I am glad that the effort was victorious.”

Coming behind him at the second spot on the podium was Peerapong Luiboonpeng of Team One For All who made it at 18’06:112s.

At the third place, it was John Emerson Inguito of 4S1M YAMAHA Racing Team who logged in at 18’06:129s.
