ACCESS PLUS RACING: WHERE RACING IS A FAMILY AFFAIR

Among the teams present at the ARRC Official Tyre Test at the Chang International Circuit is a unique family team run by former rider Tito Alberto.

Fans from the Philippines would be familiar with the name Access Plus Racing Team. Owned and run by Tito and his wife Joy, the team has been an active part of the motorsports scene in the Philippines since 1994.

Tito himself was a former rider with multiple national titles under his belt. He had once raced wildcard in the Series Production 250cc class of the Asia Road Racing Championship in 1996 when the championship visited the Batangas Racing Circuit.

Fast forward to 2018, the Alberto family continues their passion for racing with both sons TJ (Timothy Joseph) and Troy now making forays into the international arena. 21-year-old TJ took part in the Stock1000 class of the 2018 World Superbike Championship while younger son Troy took part in the Asia Talent Cup and Thailand Talent Cup.

The Access Plus Racing Team has brought a 9-man crew to Buriram. Over the next two days, TJ will be taking part in the Official Tyre Test as preparations for a possible entry into the ASB1000 class next year.
