It was a full-on for Nazirul Izzat Md Bahauddin of UMA Racing YAMAHA Maju Motor Asia Team when he raced his way up to the top spot of the podium in Race 2 of the Underbone 150cc category. Nazirul may not have stood out since the start of the ARRC nevertheless, he made Malaysians proud with his strong finish. Throughout the race, Nazirul was seen pacing back and forth among the pack of riders in the highly competitive race. It was not until lap 5 that Nazirul slipped into third position and from then on, it was picking up speed for the Yamaha Y15 ZR rider. By the last lap, Nazirul has taken the lead position. While he was chased closely by his contender, he maintained his pace and kept steady before pushing through the finish line. Nazirul finished Race 1 at the 14th spot but a remarkable recovery at the top spot when he logged in at 15:46:582s. Commenting on the race, “It was a difficult race week for my team and I however we gave our best shot. MALAYSIAN RIDER HITS THE FIRST SPOT

It was a win for Malaysian rider, Muhamad Fitri Ashraf in Race 2 of the TVS Asia One Make Championship who made a dash at the final turn towards the finish line. The championship which was reduced to 4 laps due to a casualty saw a rock-solid start for Vorapong Malahuan who won Race 1 however he was bumped out of the first position seconds into the race. The next immediate rider to take over Vorapong’s spot was Decky Tiarno Aldy. Fitri was seen to make his way up all the way from the sixth position to third position in lap 2 and by lap 3, he has glided into the second position. While Decky kept consistent to his pace in the first three laps, the battle was on for the three riders in tow with Fitri in second position, Watcharin Tubtimon in the third position followed by Vorapong in the fourth. Switching between gears, the four riders took turns to reposition themselves and by the last turn, Fitri was in a neck-to neck ride with Decky before bolting ahead to defeat the latter, clocking in at 9:59:365s. Commeting on the race, “It was a good race even with the casualty in the beginning. On my part, I grasped the lessons from Race 1 and made the necessary changes to my strategy for Race 2. The nail-biting race came to a close for the day when Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of YAMAHA GEN BLU Racing Team ASEAN took the circuit by a storm and earned himself the title of the fastest man in Race 1 of the Asia Superbike 1000cc category. Kasma was off to a good start at the pole position. While he lost his pace in the first lap, Kasma demonstrated persistence and one-of-a-kind skills that kept spectators wanting for more. Between lap 1 to 7, taking the lead was Haruki Noguchi who was fiery on the circuit, closely tailed by Malaysian rider, Zaqhwan Zaidi. While Kasma was seen looking out for an opportunity to slip in between his two contenders ahead of him, it was only at the seventh lap that he found the perfect moment. Between lap 7 and 8, Kasma geared up and accelerated ahead of Haruki consequently taking the lead. From then on, it was all about perfecting the speed and keeping up to the momentum. IBRAHIM TAKES VICTORY IN RACE 1

Md Ibrahim Md Norrodin of SIC Racing made a blistering pace towards the end to grab the top spot at the podium in Race 1 of the Supersports 600cc. The Malaysian rider aboard the YAMAHA YZF-R6 who was in a nip and tuck battle with Khairul Idham Pawi managed to break into the latter’s pace in the final lap when he clocked in at 21:52:255s. Throughout the race, Khairul displayed dexterity when he leapt to the front and took lead for seven consecutive laps. It was at lap 8 that Ibrahim sped up to take charge but fell short when Khairul emerged ahead of him once again. Nevertheless, Ibrahim did not intend to end the race in the second spot. He mustered his strength and made a bold move at the last lap, taking Khairul down. Commenting on the race, “It was a hard and good one this time around. Md Hafiza Rofa of ONEXOX TKKR Racing Team bolted confidently to the finish line to score the first spot at the podium in Race 1 of the Underbone 150cc category. The rider aboard the Yamaha Y15 ZR emerged out of nowhere in the last lap and took lead of the pack, defeating his teammate Wahyu Aji Trilaksana seconds before finishing his race at 15:43:919s. The neck-to-neck race saw Hafiza maintaining his pace and composure among the top ten riders however, in lap 5, Hafiza began picking up speed while strategizing for the last lap. The Malaysian rider pulled a stunner when he quickly pulled to the front towards the end of the race beating his teammate to the clock. Vorapong Malahuan made history today when he swept the winning spot at the podium in the very first race of the TVS Asia One Make Championship. The Thai rider displayed extraordinary skills since embarking on the championship and rode to victory in Race 1 clocking in at 15:00:135s. The 3rd Round of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship has been confirmed and will be held at The Sportsland Sugo International Circuit in Japan. The updated schedule will be released in due time. Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of YAMAHA GEN BLU Racing Team ASEAN took a leap in the final practice of Round 2 and emerged fastest for the Asia Superbike 1000cc category. The Malaysian rider aboard the Yamaha YZF-R1M seem to have found his pace this time around when he clocked in at 2:07:737s, seconds ahead of Md Zaqhwan Zaidi who was taking the lead in the first two practices. Kasma said, “Luck was not particularly on my side for the race at Buriram as I faced multiple mechanical issues with the machine. Even today, practice 1 and 2 posed challenges however my team did a good job to ensure the issues were rectified. That definitely contributed to a better lap time.” Commenting on the tyres, “I perform better using the hard compound tires for the rear and medium compound for the front.
