MALAYSIAN RIDER HITS THE FIRST SPOT

It was a win for Malaysian rider, Muhamad Fitri Ashraf in Race 2 of the TVS Asia One Make Championship who made a dash at the final turn towards the finish line. The championship which was reduced to 4 laps due to a casualty saw a rock-solid start for Vorapong Malahuan who won Race 1 however he was bumped out of the first position seconds into the race. The next immediate rider to take over Vorapong’s spot was Decky Tiarno Aldy. Fitri was seen to make his way up all the way from the sixth position to third position in lap 2 and by lap 3, he has glided into the second position. While Decky kept consistent to his pace in the first three laps, the battle was on for the three riders in tow with Fitri in second position, Watcharin Tubtimon in the third position followed by Vorapong in the fourth. Switching between gears, the four riders took turns to reposition themselves and by the last turn, Fitri was in a neck-to neck ride with Decky before bolting ahead to defeat the latter, clocking in at 9:59:365s. Commeting on the race, “It was a good race even with the casualty in the beginning. On my part, I grasped the lessons from Race 1 and made the necessary changes to my strategy for Race 2. It worked as planned. “It is indeed a memorable day for me and I thank everyone who contributed directly and indirectly towards my success.” Decky from Indonesia missed his shot once again when he logged in at 9:59:406s. Vorapong grabbed the third spot on the podium at 9:59:980s followed by Watcharin who logged in at 10:00:140. At the fifth place, Agung Septian from Indonesia clocked in at 10:03:316s. VORAPONG MAKES HISTORY

Vorapong Malahuan made history today when he swept the winning spot at the podium in the very first race of the TVS Asia One Make Championship. The Thai rider displayed extraordinary skills since embarking on the championship and rode to victory in Race 1 clocking in at 15:00:135s. It was quite a stimulating show as Vorapong battled between spot one and two with his contender, Decky Tiarno Aldy in the first three laps. Nevertheless, Vorapong picked up his pace in lap 4 with his step-by-step approach and took lead of the troop. It was then all about maintaining his momentum and staying focused in finishing the race. Commenting on the race, “I am very happy with my victory with the TVS Asia One Make Championship.” “I stopped racing for about 1 or 2 years due to the pandemic and I did not have the confidence to perform. The morning at Sepang began with a good start for Vorapong Malahuan when he made the fastest for the TVS Asia One Make Championship qualifying session. The Thai rider flaunted his technical skills and has consistently appeared at the top spot in the score chart since the start of the race. He recorded 2:28:437s in the qualifying session today and 2:28:693s in the practice session, yesterday. Commenting on his performance, “I had a major crash yesterday after practice 2 however I am happy to be able to bounce back in time for the qualifying session definitely upon doctor’s recommendation.” “My strategy is to take it step-by-step approach. TVS Racing have selected eight outstanding riders from the Asian countries to participate in the upcoming TVS Asia One-Make Championship

TVS ASIA ONE-MAKE COMPLETES ITS RIDER SELECTION

TVS Racing have selected eight outstanding riders from the Asian countries to participate in the upcoming TVS Asia One-Make Championship that will be held alongside the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) on the 28th-29th May 2022 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC). The riders who are from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and Philippines took their first stride on the TVS Apache RR310 machine which is a factory production of the TVS Motor Company, India and will take part in the upcoming Round 2 of the ARRC. Commenting on the selection process, TVS Racing Team Manager, B Selvaraj said, “We focus on One-Make to allow modifications on the machine that would provide us with key feedback for the advancement and development of our products.” “The criteria of rider selection, more importantly looks into the experience of riders and latest best achievements apart from the lap timings which would go the distance in selecting the best riders for this one-make championship. Additionally, we also take into consideration the consistency and adaptability of riders towards the machine.” TVS Asia One-Make Championship stemmed from the idea of discovering new talents in the Asian region consequently opening a pathway for a comprehensive development of the motorsport industry within these countries. TWMR announces its partnership with TVS Racing of its participation in the TVS Asia One-Make Championship that will run alongside ARRC

TVS RACING PARTICIPATES IN ARRC FOR TVS ASIA ONE-MAKE CHAMPIONSHIP

Two Wheels Motor Racing announces its partnership with TVS Racing, the factory racing team of TVS Motor Company of its participation in the TVS Asia One-Make Championship that will run alongside FIM Asia Road Racing Championship. The championship will see a total of sixteen riders from all over Asia who will be finalised on 27th April, 2022 for the first year. The selection will be held at the Sepang International Circuit where Round 2 of the ARRC will take place in May. Commenting on the development, Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Head – Premium Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “The engineering and performance prowess in our race machines has been derived from TVS Racing’s race-bred pedigree on the track, proving its mettle across a host of racing formats and has put us on the global map.
