DECKY GRACED TOP SPOT IN RACE 2

Another successful ride for the riders of the TVS Asia One-Make Championship in Race of Round 4, FIM Asia Road Racing Championship. Decky Tiarno Aldy from Indonesia made a stunning act towards victory at the Sepang International Circuit. It was a good start today with clear blue sky as the riders stormed ahead upon flag off. Agung who took the second spot on the grid took lead few seconds into the race but was superseded by Arysad in the first lap. Into the second lap, Decky who was in P3 managed to steer his wheels ahead into P1. Meanwhile, Vorapong who was in the back group made it past the riders ahead and into P3. During the third lap, Vorapong who has been relentlessly pushing his was up succeeded in overtaking Decky but seconds later, Decky snatched the lead position once again. By mid-race, Fugo Tanaka who was on a hunt came into lead position with Decky and Vorapong closely trailing but Decky once again slid into P1. In the heat of the moment, Fugo acted quickly to recover his position. By the last lap, Fugo was determined to guard his position but Decky would not be defeated. Between a tough fight, Decky who came back to P1 began feeling the pressure from Vorapong. As soon as the duo made their last turn, Vorapong chased Decky, placing intense force from the back but Decky went on with no fear towards the chequered flag first, clocking in at 15’00:256s. Commenting on the race, “Frankly speaking, I did not expect to win. My focus was mainly at the first lap and the last lap. I kept taking note of the person behind me and the approximate gap. WATCHARIN CELEBRATED HIS FIRST WIN

It was a victorious moment for Watcharin Tubtimon from Thailand when he bagged the winning glory in Race 1 of Round 4, FIM Asia Road Racing Championship in the TVS Asia One-Make Championship category held at Sepang International Circuit. Earlier in the morning, the qualifying session for the race category brought the best out of Singaporean lad, Arsyad Rusydi when he made the fastest at 2’32:231s. At the second fastest spot, it was Agung Septian from Indonesia who clocked in his best at 2’32:563s. His countryman, Decky Tiarno Aldy came in the third fastest at 2’33:268s. As soon as the race flagged off in Race 1, Decky found his way up from the third spot on the grid to P1 and while he stayed consistent and grounded in the position for the first four laps, he was seen being chased ferociously by Agung and Vorapong. By the fifth lap, Agung made his move and took lead leaving Decky in a heated battle with Vorapong. Meanwhile, Watcharin Tubtimon who had been on the hunt was waiting for his moment to strike. For five laps, he was stuck with no opportunities of breaking into the top three circle. However, towards the final lap and the last turn, Watcharin emerged among the top three riders, inches away from Vorapong who was then already at the lead position. Seconds towards the chequered flag,Watcharin made his final dash and took the winning spot for the first time this season, clocking in at 14’59:983s. Commenting on the race, Watcharin said, “In the first few laps, there was slight rain. But I went on to do my best. I planned to put on a good fight in the last corner and I managed to work it. VORAPONG CLOCKED IN FASTEST IN PRACTICE SESSION

After two rounds in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, the TVS Asia One-Make Championship is back once again for its third cycle in Round 4 which is being held at the Sepang International Circuit. Vorapong Malahuan from Thailand marked the fastest in the result sheet of the combined practice session today. The Thailand lad has never failed to give his best each time he hits the circuit. Out of the four races, Vorapong has taken two wins and two podiums since the TVS Asia One-Make Championship made its debut this season. Vorapong currently sits at the top spot in the overall standings with a total of 86 points. Vorapong made his fastest time in the practice session at 2’36:928s. In practice session one, he made his fastest at 2’39:203s. Commenting on the session, Vorapong said, “Sepang circuit is my favourite one and I am really happy to ride here. No matter whatever machine, I am able to ride well at this circuit. With the rainy weather, it is definitely a new experience for myself and the other TVS riders especially in getting adapted to different conditions. VORAPONG TAKES A WIN IN SUGO

Vorapong Malahuan from Thailand pulled a stunner at Race 2, Round 3 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship in the TVS Asia One Make Championship category which was held at Sugo International Racing Course. The opening lap posed some pressure on Horaki when Vorapong took steady lead from P2 seconds after the race flagged off. However, in the seconds following, Horaki managed to find his composure before sliding back ahead at P1. Before the lap concluded, Horaki has comfortably dominated P1 with Vorapong on the chase. While the battle went on between Horaki and Vorapong, Horaki was determined to complete the race at P1. In lap 5 however, Vorapong found an opportunity to break the cycle but was immediately countered by Horaki in an impressive switch between the highly competitive duo. Meanwhile, Fugo Tanaka who took the third spot on the grid dropped a few positions down in the first lap. But Fugo was able to pick his pace up in lap 2 and by lap 3, he slipped into the top 3 position. From then on, it was all about maintaining his momentum at P3 as the chances of taking lead became slim. Ahead of him, the powerful duo was entangled in a heated fight. Horaki guarded his position for 9 laps but at the final lap, Vorapong made his ultimate move when he grabbed the P1 from Horaki before speeding ahead to the finish line. Vorapong clocked in at 17’12:569s. Commenting on the race, Vorapong said, “Today’s race has been an amazing one for me and I scored my very first win in Japan. I have waited for this moment in the last twelve years. Yesterday, I made a small mistake in the fourth lap which gave Hiroki the opportunity to speed up. Although I tried to pickup speed from lap seven to nine, I failed.” “Today however was different. I planned for a perfect start and put on a good fight with Hiroki in each lap. At the final lap, in the third sector, I was able to get near him before finally closing the gap at the last corner. I am truly excited with my win and for yet another historical moment for myself. FIRST WIN FOR THE JAPANESE IN ROUND 3

Hiroki Ono from Japan took the win today in Race 1 of the TVS Asia One Make Championship, Round 3 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship which was held in Sugo International Racing Course. Hiroki was undoubtedly impressive in his performances throughout the race. Taking the pole position on the grid, he took speed as soon as the race flagged off leaving a trail of riders on the chase. Hiroki’s consistency kept him at the lead position as he continued to flaunt his dexterity, not the least bit threatened by his contender in P2. During the practice sessions yesterday, Hiroki marked fastest in the first one at 1’44:006s and fell one spot down during the second session at 1’42:860s. Nevertheless, it was all about carving a recognition today. In the circuit known for its technical strain, Hiroki was unbeatable when he kept to his pace. He completed Race 1 with flying colours when he clocked in at 17’09:712s. Commenting on the race, Hiroki said, “In the beginning of the race, I made a good start. I tried to stay consistent with my lap time. Mid race however, the tires were giving way. I had to continue and ensure that I keep up with the momentum. FASTEST IN TVS ASIA PRACTICE SESSION

Vorapong Malahuan from Thailand did it once again with a remarkable lap time during the practice session at Round 3 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship which was held in Sugo International Racing Course. Earlier during the day, Vorapong clocked in 1’45:951s during practice session 1, taking the third fastest position after Japanese riders Hiroki Ono and Hayato Kobayashi, who clocked in fastest at 1’44:006s and 1’44:922 respectively. However, with the first practice session, Vorapong who is also known as a seasoned rider seemed to have familiarised and found his pace around the circuit. He picked up on his speed during the second practice session and completed the 20 minutes ride, fastest in nine laps when he marked 1’42:644s. Commenting on the session, Vorapong said, “This is my first-time riding here so I took a step-by-step approach. There are challenging spots within the circuit but I tried to get some feedback from other riders of different classes. I did better in practice session two and managed to get the fastest time. VORAPONG GEARING UP FOR A WIN

Vorapong is prepping to set the Sportsland Sugo International Circuit ablaze in the TVS Asia One Make Championship of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, Round 3. As TVS Asia One Make Championship made its debut in the Round 2 of the Asian motorcycle racing championship, Vorapong carved history in the 6-lap race when he clocked in fastest, making him the first ever winner in the category. The Thailand born rider was full on throughout the race weekend. He not only made the fastest time in the score sheet for the practice sessions but made an impactful ride when he took the pole position after the qualifying session. His riding skills were further amplified as he went on to set abenchmark with his win in Race 1. Race 2 however did not work very well with him. Although the race concluded with only 4 laps due to a casualty, Vorapong failed to replicate his moves thus landed him at the third spot on the podium. Commenting on the race, Vorapong said, “Winning Race 1 is an inspiration to me – I made history! As far as the machine is concerned, TVS has made some big changes since 2020 especially in the development of engine and its control that makes it an excellent ride for racing. Personally, I get along very well with the TVS RR310 and I am able to optimise its capacity.” As for his thoughts on riding at Sugo, “It is an entirely new experience for me. The expectations are also different compared to when I raced at Sepang. But I have a feeling that it will be a fun ride at Sugo. MALAYSIAN RIDER HITS THE FIRST SPOT

It was a win for Malaysian rider, Muhamad Fitri Ashraf in Race 2 of the TVS Asia One Make Championship who made a dash at the final turn towards the finish line. The championship which was reduced to 4 laps due to a casualty saw a rock-solid start for Vorapong Malahuan who won Race 1 however he was bumped out of the first position seconds into the race. The next immediate rider to take over Vorapong’s spot was Decky Tiarno Aldy. Fitri was seen to make his way up all the way from the sixth position to third position in lap 2 and by lap 3, he has glided into the second position. While Decky kept consistent to his pace in the first three laps, the battle was on for the three riders in tow with Fitri in second position, Watcharin Tubtimon in the third position followed by Vorapong in the fourth. Switching between gears, the four riders took turns to reposition themselves and by the last turn, Fitri was in a neck-to neck ride with Decky before bolting ahead to defeat the latter, clocking in at 9:59:365s. Commeting on the race, “It was a good race even with the casualty in the beginning. On my part, I grasped the lessons from Race 1 and made the necessary changes to my strategy for Race 2.
